Get ready for an insightful and thought-provoking event on November 13th, as we delve into the world of immigration through the lens of the Augustinian tradition and the inspiring life of Mother Cabrini. This special celebration, organized by Villanova University's Mother Cabrini Institute on Immigration, promises to be an eye-opening experience.
The Power of Pilgrimage
Immigration is a complex and often controversial topic, but it's also a journey filled with hope, resilience, and the pursuit of a better life. Join us as we explore the parallels between the Augustinian tradition, Mother Cabrini's legacy, and the experiences of migrants.
A Day of Reflection and Action
The day begins with a Solidarity Walk, starting at St. Rita Hall and ending at Scarpa Hall, symbolizing the journey of migrants. This walk is a powerful way to show support and solidarity with those who have embarked on their own pilgrimages in search of a new life.
Following the walk, the main event, "Pilgrims of Hope: Augustine, Cabrini, and the Journey of the Migrant," takes place in the Law School Commons. Here's a glimpse of what you can expect:
Panel Discussion:
